Effectiveness of VR-based training on improving construction workers’ knowledge, skills, and safety behavior in robotic teleoperation

The emergence of construction robotics and automation has produced an urgent vast need for workers to reskill upskill the future work. Virtual Reality (VR)-based training been considered investigated as a safe cost-effective method that allows be exposed hazardous tasks with negligible actual safety risks in comparison existing methods (hands-on, lecture-based, apprenticeship training). This paper aims investigate impact VR-based on workers’ knowledge acquisition, operational skills, behavior during robotic teleoperation compared traditional in-person method.
